Have you a 'special someone' in your life or family who depends on you entirely, whom you feed and care for day after day and is one of your best of friends? Your pet is the most important thing in your life apart from your children and family. You care for he or she as if they were your own, well, I know I do. This 'Holiday Giving Season' I intend to show my 'best pal' (who's name is Mr Bailey Boo, he is a 'Tibalier' which is a 'designer dog' cross breed. A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mixed with a Tibetan Spaniel) exactly how I feel about his companionship and loyalty to myself and my family by giving him what he needs to be comfortable in order to improve his quality of life. Mr Boo suffers from severe skin allergies and klekto-conjunctivitis in both eyes. He snores louder than my Grandad and grunts throughout the day due to a 'stubby' snout. Because 6yo (human yrs) Bailey is nearly blind and very excitable, if we allow him to see outside too much he constantly barks at 'the pixies' driving us insane, cries loudly if left behind at home - cries loudly if we take him with us and has a special diet to ensure consistently firm 'passings' (meaning poo!). The poor thing has a (I hate to say it) 'polyp' inside his anus, a pocket/fold of skin grown alongside the wall-lining of the anus which over time, collects poo every time he goes to the toilet. This 'problem' requires regular maintenance by (wearing gloves of course) and inserting the smallest finger inside his anus, lubricating first, and squeezing the full pocket of skin until it is empty and all excess trapped poo has exited Bailey's rear end. This is followed by 'shower time' as it can get messy. It is a huge and terrifying ordeal for him on a regular basis as he really dislikes water, showers and baths. Everything we use for any of his treatments (even his soothing natural oatmeal skin relief treatment supply If it weren't for the prices on pet supplies at Amazon, I probably couldn't afford to look after my dog the way that I do for my My Boo. I chose the 'runt' of the litter on purpose, he showed me great strength and tolerance the day I picked him up and he has only shown us love and loyalty on top of those since.
